Civil Engineer – Job Description
Responsible for planning, designing, supervising, and managing construction and infrastructure projects such as buildings, roads, bridges, water supply systems, and drainage networks. Conduct site inspections, prepare technical drawings and project estimates, ensure compliance with safety standards and building regulations, coordinate with architects, contractors, and clients, monitor project progress, and maintain quality control throughout all phases of construction. Skilled in structural analysis, project management, cost estimation, and the use of engineering software to deliver projects on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and analyze civil engineering structures and infrastructure projects.
- Prepare project plans, drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.
- Supervise construction activities and ensure quality standards.
- Conduct site inspections and resolve technical issues.
- Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards.
- Monitor project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Prepare technical reports and project documentation.
