Key Responsibilities:
- Storage Provisioning & Management
o Define, Implement and manage shared storage solutions (NAS, SAN, object storage)
o Design and implement file share provisioning, migrations, and performance tuning
o Define storage zoning, masking and access control
- Data Migration and expansion projects
o Define, plan and execute storage migration activities
o Perform data copy, replication or synchronization using vendor tools.
o Ensure data integrity and minimize down times during and after migrations.
- Backup configuration & Maintenance
o Design, configure and manage enterprise backup solutions (Veeam, Commvault, etc.).
o Deploy and monitor backup jobs for physical and virtual environments.
o Manage backup schedules, retention policies, and tiering to archive.
o Perform test restores and ensure backup reliability for audit/compliance.
- Archiving & Long-Term Storage
o Set up tiered storage and archiving policies for aged or inactive data.
o Integrate cloud archiving solutions (Azure Archive, AWS Glacier).
o Work with application teams to define data classification and retention periods.
- Disaster Recovery Support
o Ensure backup coverage for DR workloads.
o Participate in DR test execution, restore simulations, and reporting.
o Assist in building recovery documentation and mapping dependencies.
Required Skills:
- Experience with Storage platforms such as NetApp, Dell EMC, HPE and similar enterprise storage solutions
- Storage protocols such as NFS, SMB/CIFS, iSCSI, Fiber Channel(understanding of zoning and LUNs)
- Backup tools such as Veeam backup & replication, Veeam Orchestrator, Commvault, Veritas NetBackup
- Familiar with on-prem & cloud archive solutions (e.g., Azure Archive Storage, AWS S3)
- Good scripting knowledge in PowerShell or similar, to build automation scripts
- Experience using Komprise to define and apply tiering policies
Pay: ₹200,000.00 - ₹300,000.00 per year
