Extensive knowledge of item rates in C&I and related packages with the ability to accurately assess project costs based on given drawings and requirements for Design & Build projects (D&B).
Should have good knowledge of BOQ item rates in C&I packages. Accurately derive the project cost based on the given Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and tender documents for General contracting projects (GC)
Proficiency in AutoCAD to Perform detailed quantity take-off to accurately estimate project costs for Design & Build and general contracting (GC) corporate interior projects.
Having good work experience in Cost X tool is an added advantage
Should have good knowledge of various makes and specifications available in the C&I packages to provide accurate pricing information.
Should align with the company's costing policy and be able to work accordingly.
Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to gather project requirements and ensure cost estimates align with requirements and desired outcomes.
Provide timely turnarounds on cost estimates based on project requirements, ensuring efficiency. High attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment to meet strict deadlines. Proactive and adaptable, with the ability to quickly respond to project requirements and changes.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate cost estimates to project stakeholders.
Proven experience as a Cost Estimator in corporate interior projects, with a strong focus on Design & Build and GC Projects.
Maintain executed project cost data at various levels for cost reference purposes (cost benchmarking).
Should be able to perform value engineering, cost variation analysis, rate analysis, etc. depending on project requirements.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, materials, and labor costs to ensure accurate estimations.
BOQ formulation & standardization is an additional skill that will be looked for.
Having intermediate design knowledge and sense will be an added advantage.
Candidates from Architect firms or Design & Build firms are preferred.
