Position: Sr Design / Lead Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer

- Follow the engineering execution process and align with the other functions within team to meet the on time in full deliveries.
- Release of Technical specification of major items with First Time Right inputs
- Participate in KOM and POM to understand the project requirements and prepare for the Engineering documentation required for customer approval as per SDRL.
- Prepare and maintain the BOM and Engineering drawings with respect to change management system.
- Participate/present Design Review of entire system having all products and ensure compliance of customer technical specifications as well as manufacturing as well as testing + transportation aspects.
- Review and validate the technical offers from vendors and provide engineering comments and approvals.
- Extend support required on shop floor. Attend and provide appropriate solution for the problems on shop floor related to engineering.
- On time in full and FTR Engineering deliverables of all Projects to achieve CDD.
- Follow Lessons learnt from previsions projects, take appropriate action, and maintain lessons during the execution.
- To be a high performing team player to strengthen the Engineering team so to achieve company targets of delivery efficiency, skill matrix, FTR & production.
Quick response to the internal as well as external Customers and support required to resolve site issues.
Responsibilities/Duties (in order of importance)
- Candidates should be able to understand process and accordingly design implements instruments, control, and electrical Philosophy/activity.
- Understanding and developing P&IDs and service diagram/electrical single line diagram for various processes, and/or Equipment using Autocad Electrical / Eplan.
- Develop software and hardware design specifications, Switchgear & Instruments sizing and selection, Panel layout design, Wire Harness design, Cable selection, Instruments sizing and selection in line with IEC/UL/CSA/ATEX/CE standard.
- Preparation of Instrument hook up diagrams along with BOMs
- Preparation of JB & Cable Schedule, E & I Cable tray layouts, Earthing layouts, Panel, JB, Instrument location layouts
- Preparation of IO List, Alarm / Trip List, Control Narrative, Logic Diagrams, C & E, Loop diagrams
- Practical exposure to different starter types, panel, VFD, soft starter, LV/MV/HV motors
- Analyze Customer Requirements & Expectations from the product in terms of Product Design
- It should be well versed with hazardous area classification (ATEX/ IECEx) and selection of instruments, JB and control panel.
- It should be well versed with the concepts of Program designing, Testing, executing & verifying the PLC & Panel, and the complete gamut of Design and Drafting of Electrical wiring diagrams and logic Diagrams.
- Experience in field trouble shooting, commissioning and start-up of control systems is required.
- Ability to work with plant engineers, external vendors, operators, and management to manage projects and assignments is essential.
- Participate and drive Kick off meeting, Hazop and SIL meeting, design review meeting, FAT and SAT meetings with vendor/client (Internal and External)
- Experience handling multiple projects at a time.
- Knowledge of International standards like IEC, ISA, UL, API, NFPA, ISO etc
Qualifications/Knowledge & Work Experience:
- A bachelor’s degree in electrical/Instrumentation Engineering
- A minimum of 6 - 10 years’ experience with the compressor industry/Oil and Gas company/ Rotating equipment industry.

- Experience with ERP system/software like BPCS/SAP & Document Management system like Enovia.
- Ability to handle internal /external stakeholders effectively.
