Job Summary
A Purchase Engineer is responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and purchasing engineering materials, equipment, and services required for production, projects, and maintenance activities. The role involves supplier management, cost optimization, quality assurance, and timely procurement to support organizational objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and evaluate suppliers based on quality, cost, delivery, and service.
- Prepare and process purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and contracts.
- Obtain quotations, negotiate prices, terms, and delivery schedules.
- Analyze technical specifications and ensure purchased items meet engineering requirements.
- Coordinate with engineering, production, quality, and project teams for procurement needs.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment of materials.
- Track orders and follow up with vendors to ensure on-time delivery.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.
- Conduct market research to identify new suppliers and cost-saving opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procurement procedures.
- Resolve issues related to quality, delivery, and supplier performance.
- Maintain procurement records, reports, and documentation.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
