Tool Room Job Responsibilities
- Manufacturing and maintenance of dies, moulds, punches, and tools used in jewellery production.
- Repairing and modifying tools as per production requirements.
- Operating tool room machines like lathe, milling, drilling, grinding, and CNC machines.
- Ensuring accuracy and precision of tools as per design specifications.
- Reading and understanding technical drawings and measurements.
- Maintaining proper records of tools and spare parts.
- Preventing breakdowns by regular inspection and maintenance.
- Supporting production team in case of tool-related issues.
- Maintaining cleanliness and safety standards in the tool room.
- Reducing tool wear and improving tool life.
- Cost working accountancy for tool room.
- Developing standard processes and standards in tool room with complete documentation.
- Twenty percent increase in productivity and quality.
- Creating virtual prototypes (3 D models and assemblies) for the tools used in factory.
- Mitsubishi wire EDM installation, arranging training for the machine and making it operational.
- 3 D milling capabilities in tool room.
- Brazing quality.
- Complete chain department tool making – in house (including spirale).
