The Engineer – Quality Control – Site (Civil) is responsible for executing quality assurance and control activities at the site, ensuring all civil works comply with project specifications, codes, and standards. The role involves regular inspections, coordination with the execution team, maintaining QA/QC documentation, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental norms.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Conduct regular inspections and tests on-site materials (e.g., concrete, steel, aggregates) and construction activities to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
- Review and implement project-specific Quality Control Plans (QCP), Inspection Test Plans (ITP), and Method Statements for all civil activities.
- Monitor and verify the calibration status of testing equipment and ensure all equipment used complies with relevant standards.
- Record and report non-conformities or deviations from design and specification, initiate corrective/preventive actions, and ensure timely closure.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and site engineers to ensure quality requirements are understood and adhered to during execution.
