Job Summary
The Maintenance Executive is responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning, maintenance, and repair of hospital infrastructure, equipment, utilities, and facilities. The role involves preventive maintenance, breakdown management, safety compliance, and coordination with vendors to ensure uninterrupted hospital operations.
Key Responsibilities
Electrical Maintenance
- Monitor and maintain electrical systems, panels, wiring, and lighting.
- Ensure proper functioning of generators, UPS systems, and power backup equipment.
- Attend electrical breakdowns and perform corrective actions promptly.
Civil & Facility Maintenance
- Supervise repairs related to plumbing, carpentry, painting, and masonry work.
- Maintain hospital buildings, rooms, washrooms, and common areas.
- Ensure cleanliness and upkeep of facility infrastructure.
Equipment & Utility Management
- Monitor operation of HVAC, air-conditioning, water supply systems, pumps, and compressors.
- Coordinate maintenance of medical and non-medical equipment with concerned departments.
- Maintain records of maintenance activities and equipment servicing.
Preventive Maintenance
- Prepare and implement preventive maintenance schedules.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify potential issues.
- Minimize equipment downtime through timely maintenance.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with hospital safety standards and statutory requirements.
- Monitor fire safety systems and emergency equipment.
- Follow infection control and safety protocols while carrying out maintenance work.
Vendor Coordination
- Coordinate with external contractors and service providers.
- Monitor AMC (Annual Maintenance Contract) services.
- Verify service reports and maintain documentation.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain maintenance logs, service records, and inventory records.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance reports.
- Report major breakdowns and corrective actions to management.
Qualifications
- Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil Engineering, or related field.
- ITI certification in relevant trade preferred.
Experience
- 2–5 years of experience in maintenance operations.
- Hospital maintenance experience preferred.
Skills Required
- Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and civil maintenance.
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and coordination abilities.
- Basic computer knowledge for documentation and reporting.
- Ability to work under pressure and respond to emergencies.

- Equipment uptime and availability.
- Timely completion of preventive maintenance schedules.
- Reduction in breakdown incidents.
- Compliance with safety standards.
- Timely closure of maintenance requests.
Pay: ₹10,542.62 - ₹22,750.77 per month
