SMT Pick & Place Machine Operator (ETON SMT Machine) – LED Manufacturing

About the Role
Unilights is looking for an experienced SMT Pick & Place Machine Operator with hands-on expertise operating ETON SMT Machines for LED PCB assembly and LED lighting manufacturing. The ideal candidate should have experience independently managing SMT production lines, ensuring high-quality output, minimizing rejections, and maintaining production efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate, set up, and monitor ETON SMT Pick & Place Machines for LED PCB production.
- Perform feeder loading, nozzle changes, machine calibration, component verification, and production changeovers.
- Ensure accurate placement of LEDs, ICs, resistors, capacitors, connectors, drivers, and other SMD components.
- Carry out machine programming adjustments and optimize machine performance for maximum productivity.
- Coordinate with solder paste printing, reflow oven, and inspection processes to ensure smooth production flow.
- Conduct first-off inspections and verify product quality before mass production.
- Troubleshoot machine alarms, feeder issues, placement defects, missing components, polarity errors, and alignment problems.
- Monitor production quality and take corrective action to reduce defects and rework.
- Perform preventive maintenance and routine cleaning of feeders, nozzles, machine heads, and related equipment.
- Maintain daily production records, machine logs, downtime reports, and rejection analysis reports.
- Ensure strict adherence to ESD, safety, quality, and 5S standards.
- Work closely with Quality, Engineering, and Production teams to achieve daily production targets.
Required Experience
- Minimum 1 year of experience operating ETON SMT Pick & Place Machines.
- Experience in LED lighting manufacturing, LED driver assembly, PCB assembly, electronics manufacturing, or SMT production environments.
- Strong knowledge of:
- SMT Production Processes
- LED PCB Assembly
- SMD Components Identification
- Feeder Management
- Reflow Soldering
- PCB Handling & Inspection
- Production Line Balancing
- Ability to independently manage SMT production with minimal supervision.
- Hands-on troubleshooting experience with ETON machine programming and production issues.
- Knowledge of component polarity, package types, PCB layouts, and assembly standards.
- Familiarity with ESD procedures and quality control practices.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- ITI / Diploma in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- Experience working in high-volume LED manufacturing environments.
- Ability to work under production deadlines while maintaining quality standards.
- Strong ownership mindset, discipline, and problem-solving skills.
- Immediate joiners will be preferred.

The successful candidate will be able to independently run ETON SMT lines, achieve high first-pass yield, minimize machine downtime, reduce rejection rates, and consistently deliver quality LED PCB assemblies that meet Unilights' manufacturing standards.
