Key Responsibilities
- Academic Delivery: Plan and execute engaging lesson plans, lectures, and activities for senior secondary students (grades 11-12).
- Exam Preparation: Thoroughly prepare students for board examinations, including conducting regular tests, mock exams, and remedial classes.
- Curriculum Development: Design and implement comprehensive lesson plans, incorporating historical, social studies, and thematic content.
- Assessment & Feedback: Evaluate student performance, maintain records, and provide regular feedback to parents through meetings.
- Classroom Management: Foster a positive, inclusive, and disciplined learning environment, encouraging critical thinking and discussions.
- Technology Integration: Use digital resources, multimedia presentations, and educational technology to enhance learning.
- Extracurricular Involvement: Organize historical events, quizzes, guest speakers, and educational field trips.
- Required Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Master's degree in History or a related field, with a B.Ed. (mandatory for most private schools).
- Experience: 2–5 years of teaching experience at the senior secondary level (11th and 12th grade), ideally in a CBSE or reputable private school.
- Knowledge: Deep understanding of Indian and World history, including ability to teach specific curricula (e.g., CBSE guidelines).
- Skills: Strong communication, classroom management, and presentation skills.
- Traits: Patience, creativity, and a commitment to student mentorship.
- Typical Work Environment: Private schools often require teachers to be actively involved in school events, staff meetings, and professional development workshops.
