Job Description:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Compliance Engineer to manage end-to-end product certification and regulatory compliance activities. The ideal candidate will ensure that products meet all applicable national and international standards throughout their lifecycle, while coordinating with internal teams and external certification bodies.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end product certification activities for new and existing products as per applicable national and international standards (e.g., CE, UL, IEC, ATEX, RoHS, BIS, etc.).
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, test reports, and certification files for submission to regulatory and certification bodies.
- Coordinate with third-party testing laboratories, certification agencies, and regulatory authorities for product approvals and renewals.
- Review and interpret regulatory standards, ensuring products meet safety, environmental, and quality norms.
- Collaborate with R&D, design, and production teams to integrate compliance requirements during product development.
- Plan and execute compliance testing, validation, and risk assessments.
- Monitor updates in regulatory standards and ensure timely implementation.
- Maintain compliance records, audit documentation, and certification databases.
- Support audits, inspections, and certification renewals.
- Identify compliance risks and recommend corrective actions.
- Support product improvements based on compliance requirements and test results.
- Ensure ongoing compliance throughout the product lifecycle, including upgrades and market-specific requirements.
Qualifications:
- B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics & Telecommunication, or Instrumentation Engineering.
Key Skills:
- Strong understanding of product compliance standards (BIS, CE, UL, IEC, RoHS, etc.).
- Knowledge of regulatory frameworks and certification processes (domestic & international).
- Experience in handling certification documentation, test reports, and submissions.
- Ability to coordinate with testing laboratories, certification bodies, and internal teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify compliance gaps.
- High attention to detail in documentation and audits.
- Effective communication skills (written & verbal).
- Ability to manage multiple certifications/projects and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, documentation tools).
- Awareness of quality systems and audit processes.
