CNC Machine Operator
Job Description
A CNC (Computer Numerical Control) Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machinery used to produce precision parts and components in manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD files
- Set up CNC machines for production runs, including calibration and tool selection
- Input design specifications and commands into the machine
- Monitor machine operations to ensure accuracy and detect malfunctions
- Inspect finished products using precision tools like calipers and micrometers
- Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs
- Maintain detailed production and quality logs
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment
Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience operating CNC machinery
- Ability to read mechanical documents and blueprints
- Familiarity with CAD/CAM software and basic programming
- Strong attention to detail and mechanical aptitude
- Load raw materials and monitor machine performance
- Adjust machine settings (speed, pressure, alignment) to ensure product quality
- Inspect finished products for defects or deviations from specifications
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot minor issues
- Document production output and machine performance
- Collaborate with quality control and maintenance teams.
