About the role:
Lighthouse Communities Foundation (LCF) is looking for a Junior Visual Designer to join our Communications team and bring our stories, campaigns and impact to life through engaging visual communication.
The role will focus on creating digital and print collaterals, social media creatives, campaign assets and event materials. The ideal candidate should have a strong eye for design and be able to translate briefs into clear, creative and consistent visuals.
Your role in supplementing the Organisational goals:
- Design banners, posters, social media creatives and other digital and print collaterals.
- Create event materials including standees, backdrops, invitations, certificates, signage and stage branding.
- Develop visual assets for LCF’s programmes, campaigns and organisational initiatives.
- Adapt designs across platforms and formats while maintaining brand consistency.
- Work with photography, typography, illustrations and other visual elements.
- Understand briefs, develop concepts and incorporate feedback.
- Coordinate with internal teams, printers and vendors to deliver production-ready designs.
- Organise editable design files and creative assets.
- Explore emerging design trends and AI-enabled creative tools.
Preferred Skill sets, Years of Experience, and Professional Background:
- Graduate preferred
- Proficiency in these tools is non-negotiable:Adobe Illustrator,Adobe Photoshop,Canva.Candidates must demonstrate practical experience with these tools through their portfolio.
- 0–2 years of experience in graphic/visual design.
- Strong working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop and Canva.
- Good understanding of typography, colour, composition, layout and visual hierarchy.
- Ability to design for both digital and print.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Good communication and collaboration skills.
- Portfolio demonstrating relevant design work is mandatory.
Good to Have
- Knowledge of Adobe InDesign, After Effects or Premiere Pro.
- Basic motion graphics or short-form video skills.
- Familiarity with AI-powered design tools.
- Experience in social impact, nonprofit, education or youth-focused communication.
What We’re Looking For
Someone who is creative, curious and hands-on, with a strong eye for detail and an interest in visual storytelling. You should be comfortable taking a brief, exploring ideas, working within brand guidelines and responding to feedback.
