Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Field Sales Manager to develop and manage sales activities in Ahmedabad and surrounding markets. The candidate must have at least five years of sales experience, preferably in the screen-printing, printing-ink, industrial-ink, or related industry.
The selected candidate will be responsible for generating new business, managing existing customers, appointing dealers and distributors, achieving sales targets, collecting market intelligence, and ensuring timely payment collection.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute field-sales plans for Ahmedabad and assigned territories.
- Identify new customers in the screen-printing, textile-printing, signage, packaging, graphics, and industrial-printing segments.
- Generate sales leads through regular market visits, cold calling, references, exhibitions, and industry networks.
- Meet printers, manufacturers, dealers, distributors, and other key decision-makers.
- Promote screen-printing inks, printing chemicals, consumables, and related products.
- Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable products and technical solutions.
- Conduct product demonstrations, trials, and presentations in coordination with the technical team.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers.
- Appoint, develop, and manage dealers and distributors in the assigned territory.
- Prepare quotations, negotiate commercial terms, and close sales orders.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and collection targets.
- Follow up on outstanding payments and ensure timely collection from customers.
- Monitor competitor products, pricing, market trends, and customer feedback.
- Prepare daily visit reports, sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and management updates.
- Coordinate with production, dispatch, accounts, technical, and customer-service teams.
- Travel regularly within Ahmedabad, Gujarat, and other assigned territories.
Candidate Requirements
- Graduate or postgraduate degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Commerce, Chemistry, Printing Technology, or a related discipline.
- Minimum five years of field-sales experience.
- Experience in screen-printing inks, textile-printing inks, industrial inks, printing chemicals, coatings, adhesives, printing consumables, or related products is strongly preferred.
- Good knowledge of the Ahmedabad and Gujarat industrial market.
- Existing relationships with printers, dealers, distributors, textile-processing units, signage companies, or industrial customers will be an advantage.
- Proven ability to achieve sales and collection targets.
- Strong negotiation, communication, presentation, and customer-handling skills.
- Ability to understand technical products and explain their benefits to customers.
- Comfortable with extensive field travel.
- Proficiency in MS Office, email, sales reporting, and CRM systems.
- Good command of Gujarati, Hindi, and English.
- Candidate must possess a valid driving licence and preferably own a two-wheeler or four-wheeler.
