Purchase Supervisor
Job Summary
The Purchase Supervisor is responsible for sourcing and purchasing raw materials, consumables, machinery, and services required for jewellery manufacturing. The role ensures timely procurement, cost control, quality compliance, vendor management, and accurate documentation while supporting uninterrupted production.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and procure gold, silver, diamonds, gemstones, findings, packaging materials, and other production consumables.
- Obtain quotations from multiple suppliers and negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
- Create and process Purchase Requisitions (PR) and Purchase Orders (PO).
- Follow up with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery.
- Coordinate with Production, Planning, Stores, Quality, and Finance departments.
- Monitor stock levels and initiate purchases to avoid production shortages.
- Develop and maintain relationships with approved vendors.
- Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, price, delivery, and service.
- Verify invoices, delivery challans, and purchase documentation before forwarding to Accounts.
- Maintain procurement records and prepare purchase reports.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.
- Resolve supplier-related issues such as delayed deliveries, quality concerns, or quantity shortages.
- Support cost reduction and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- Diploma or certification in Procurement or Supply Chain Management is an advantage.
Experience
- 3–6 years of purchasing experience.
- Experience in the jewellery manufacturing industry is preferred.

Working Conditions
- Work from the corporate office or jewellery manufacturing unit.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
