JOB DESCRIPTION – ACCOUNTS EXECUTIVE

JOB PURPOSE
The Accounts Executive will support the day-to-day finance and accounting operations of Prym Shared Services and ensure accurate, timely, and properly documented accounting records. The role is responsible for transaction accounting, accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, intercompany accounting, employee and payroll-related accounting support, fixed assets, statutory compliance support, month-end closing activities, and audit documentation. The position is expected to maintain accurate books, clean reconciliations, proper supporting documentation, and timely completion of assigned finance activities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. General Accounting & Month-End Closing
- Record and maintain day-to-day accounting transactions in Zoho Books.
- Ensure correct ledger classification, accounting period, cost allocation, and supporting documentation.
- Prepare routine journal entries, accruals, provisions, prepaid expenses, and other accounting workings.
- Assist with monthly and year-end closing activities.
- Review assigned ledger balances and identify incorrect, unusual, or unreconciled transactions.
- Prepare Balance Sheet and P&L supporting schedules as required.
2. Accounts Payable & Payments
- Verify and record vendor invoices with appropriate supporting documents and approvals.
- Maintain vendor ledgers and prepare periodic vendor reconciliations.
- Track outstanding invoices, due dates, and pending approvals.
- Prepare payment workings/files based on approved invoices and payment schedules.
- Maintain complete payment documentation and audit trail.
- Coordinate with vendors and internal stakeholders for resolution of discrepancies.
3. Accounts Receivable & Intercompany Accounting
- Support monthly invoicing to Group Companies.
- Prepare and maintain billing workings for employee/service costs, infrastructure charges, reimbursements, and other recoverable expenses.
- Record invoices and receipts and monitor outstanding receivables.
- Prepare monthly intercompany reconciliations and identify differences between Prym Shared Services and Group Company records.
- Follow up on outstanding balances and reconciliation differences.
- Maintain supporting documentation for intercompany transactions and related-party balances.
4. Bank Accounting & Reconciliation
- Record bank receipts, payments, charges, and other transactions accurately.
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliations for all bank accounts.
- Identify and follow up on unmatched or outstanding transactions.
- Ensure reconciliation differences are investigated and cleared within agreed timelines.
- Maintain bank statements, reconciliation workings, and supporting documents.
5. Fixed Asset Accounting
- Maintain the Fixed Asset Register and employee-wise asset allocation records.
- Record asset additions, transfers, disposals, and depreciation.
- Reconcile the Fixed Asset Register with the General Ledger.
- Support preparation of infrastructure/asset cost workings used for intercompany billing.
6. Statutory Compliance
- Assist in preparation and reconciliation of TDS and other applicable statutory workings.
- Verify appropriate TDS treatment on vendor transactions.
- Maintain statutory payment, challan, return, and certificate documentation.
- Support preparation of information required for statutory filings.
- Track compliance requirements and highlight upcoming deadlines to the Accounts & Finance Manager.
QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE
Education:
B.Com / M.Com / BBA Finance or equivalent accounting/finance qualification.
Experience:
Preferably 3 to 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
Experience in a Shared Services, IT/Software Services, Service Company, or multinational environment will be an advantage.
Exposure to intercompany accounting, foreign currency transactions, month-end closing, and statutory compliance is preferred.
TECHNICAL & FUNCTIONAL SKILLS

Good Excel knowledge including XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, Pivot Tables, structured data, and reconciliation techniques is expected. Knowledge of Power Query or finance automation tools will be an added advantage.

The Accounts Executive will be evaluated primarily on:
- Accuracy and timeliness of accounting entries.
- Timely completion of bank, vendor, and intercompany reconciliations.
- Accuracy of monthly billing and accounting support.
- Timely completion of assigned month-end closing activities.
- Reduction of long-outstanding and unreconciled items.
- Accuracy of statutory compliance workings.
- Quality and completeness of accounting documentation.
- Timely response to audit requirements.
- Compliance with internal controls and approval procedures.
Pay: ₹1.00 - ₹500,000.00 per year
