Job Summary
We are looking for a proactive and technically skilled IT Executive to manage and support the day-to-day IT infrastructure and technology requirements of an interior designing and contracting organization. The role will be responsible for maintaining computers, networks, software, printers, CCTV, internet connectivity, data security, user support, and other IT systems across the office, design studio, production facilities, and project sites.
The ideal candidate should have strong troubleshooting skills, good knowledge of hardware and networking, and the ability to provide timely technical support to employees.
Key ResponsibilitiesIT Infrastructure & Technical Support
- Manage and maintain desktops, laptops, workstations, printers, scanners, and other IT equipment.
- Provide day-to-day technical support to employees and resolve hardware and software issues.
- Install, configure, update, and maintain operating systems and business applications.
- Troubleshoot system performance, connectivity, printing, email, and application-related issues.
- Maintain IT assets and ensure proper allocation and usage of company equipment.
Network & Internet Management
- Manage and maintain LAN, Wi-Fi, routers, switches, and internet connectivity.
- Troubleshoot network connectivity issues across office and production locations.
- Monitor network performance and coordinate with internet service providers when required.
- Maintain basic network documentation, configurations, and access details.
Software & Application Support
- Install and maintain software required by different departments.
- Provide technical support for design and business applications used by the organization.
- Support users with software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, SolidWorks, Microsoft Office, Tally, ERP systems, cloud applications, and other company-specific software.
- Coordinate with software vendors for licensing, technical issues, updates, and renewals.
Data Security & Backup
- Implement basic IT security practices to protect company systems and data.
- Manage antivirus, user access, passwords, permissions, and security updates.
- Ensure regular backup of important company data.
- Monitor unauthorized software installation and access.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of company information.
CCTV & Security Systems
- Monitor and maintain CCTV systems and recording equipment.
- Troubleshoot CCTV connectivity, storage, and viewing issues.
- Coordinate with vendors for installation, maintenance, and repairs.
- Support access-control and other technology-based security systems where applicable.
IT Asset Management
- Maintain an updated IT asset register covering computers, laptops, printers, networking equipment, CCTV equipment, and accessories.
- Track issue, allocation, transfer, repair, replacement, and return of IT assets.
- Ensure proper handover and documentation of IT equipment to employees.
- Recommend replacement or upgrade of outdated equipment.
Support for Production & Project Sites
- Provide IT support to the modular/production plant and project sites whenever required.
- Support site teams with internet, computers, printers, communication systems, and other IT requirements.
- Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for site-related IT requirements.
- Ensure minimum disruption to business operations due to IT issues.
Employee IT Support
- Create and manage user accounts, email accounts, and system access as authorized.
- Assist employees with login, email, printing, file-sharing, and other technical issues.
- Conduct basic IT orientation for new employees.
- Maintain records of recurring technical issues and solutions.
Documentation & Vendor Coordination
- Maintain IT documentation, system records, licenses, warranties, AMC details, and service records.
- Coordinate with IT vendors, internet providers, software providers, CCTV vendors, and hardware service providers.
- Verify IT-related service bills and support documentation before forwarding them for processing.
- Maintain a preventive maintenance schedule for IT infrastructure.
Required Skills
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Good knowledge of computer hardware and software.
- Good understanding of LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, TCP/IP, routers, and switches.
- Knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office.
- Basic knowledge of data backup and cybersecurity.
- Knowledge of CCTV and basic security systems.
- Ability to manage multiple IT support requests simultaneously.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to coordinate with employees, vendors, and service providers.
- Strong documentation and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Applications, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in IT support or IT administration.
- Experience in an interior design, construction, manufacturing, engineering, or project-based organization will be an advantage.
- Knowledge of design software and production-related applications will be an added advantage.
