Looking For
- 2+ years in furniture or wood finishing
- Hands-on spray gun / HVLP experience
- Proficiency in PU or NC lacquer systems
- Hand finishing and buffing skills
- Eye for surface defects and sheen consistency
- Understanding of mixing ratios and pot life
- Knowledge of wood species and grain behaviour
- Basic colour-matching ability
05 Good to HaveDesirable Qualities
- Experience with premium or export-grade furniture finishing standards
- Familiarity with water-based finish systems and low-VOC materials
- Ability to replicate approved finish samples with minimal variance across production runs
- Exposure to special finishes — limewash, ceruse, ebonising, or raw metal leaf
- A personal pride in surfaces that can only come from someone who has ruined one and learned from it
