Job Summary
The Full Stack Developer Senior is an experienced engineer who develops, tests, and deploys software across all layers of the development lifecycle with limited supervision. This role supports Customer Identity & Onboarding (CI&O) applications for FedEx.com, delivering secure, scalable, and reliable customer onboarding, account linking, customer activation, authorization, and organization management capabilities through integration with internal and third-party APIs. The position requires strong hands‑on development skills across frontend, backend, and CI&O integrations, along with experience applying cloud‑native engineering practices and AI‑enabled development tools to improve delivery quality and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and deploy full‑stack software components using Angular and Java‑based microservices.

Implement CI&O features supporting customer onboarding, account linking, customer activation, authorization, and organization management.

Develop and consume RESTful APIs and integrate internal and third-party applications.

Troubleshoot and resolve moderately complex issues across UI, backend services, and third-party applications.

Conduct code reviews and provide technical guidance to junior developers.

Ensure solutions meet quality, security, performance, and reliability standards.

Apply AI‑enabled tools to improve code quality, testing effectiveness, debugging speed, and SDLC efficiency.

Support cloud‑native deployments (Docker/Kubernetes), CI/CD pipelines, and release activities.

Participate actively in Agile ceremonies and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.

Contribute to technical documentation, coding standards, and engineering best practices.
Required Knowledge & Skills
-
Strong hands‑on experience with Java / J2EE, Spring / Spring Boot, and RESTful API development.

Frontend development experience using Angular, HTML5 and CSS (and/or SCSS), accessibility (ADA)

Solid experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL)

Good understanding of Frontend and Backend testing frameworks (Playwright, Cypress, SpringBootTest, Junit, or similar)

Familiarity with messaging platforms (Kafka, Azure Event Hubs, Redis Streams or similar)

Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills across frontend, backend, and app dependencies.

Experience designing, deploying, or supporting cloud‑native microservices (Docker/Kubernetes) at scale (Azure or Google Cloud).

Experience working in Agile or SAFe Agile delivery environments.

Strong communication skills in English and ability to collaborate across teams.
Preferred Qualifications (Optional)

Experience delivering Customer Onboarding capabilities.
