This role is responsible for product definition for RF clock synthesizers, buffers and BAW oscillators. Systems engineer deeply focus on understanding the technical needs, challenges and future trends of a customer, end equipment, then define new products and innovate forward-looking product roadmap to solve them.
- Systems engineers are typically responsible for supporting a product from conception to release in the area of specification tradeoffs, design reviews, specification compliance, initial customer support and technical engagement.
- Research and create new product definitions, including developing business case proposals, product strategies and taking products to release to market
- System engineer needs to evaluate and prioritize the roadmap parts
- Identify key end equipment’s and associated product gaps and validate/negotiate with key customers and sales team
- Develops detailed technical definitions for new products, develop system validation and verification plan and schedules. Work with designers to close the loop with the feedback received from customers and sales throughout the initial development cycle
- Write the product datasheet specification. Conduct datasheet reviews with application engineers and other stakeholders to ensure completeness of datasheet
- Perform Trade-offs, understand the competitive landscape
- Participate in new silicon testing from an systems engineer perspective to ensure robustness of the product.
- Work with applications engineer to provide support to early design in activities for new products.
- Work with apps to create custom reference designs targeting relevant applications to be used as customer implementation ideas.
- Lead and Support whole product launch activities. Work closely with marketing, program management, engineering, apps and validation teams for execution and launch of new products/existing product enhancements.
- Assess and negotiate IC development tradeoffs with design team and customers
- Be the technical expert, responsible for product ramp up for the customer
- Application support for newly introduced and existing products. Develop and provide training for customers and the field teams.
