As an AVP Tech, Data Engineering Lead at LPL, you will lead a team of data engineers in designing, developing, and maintaining robust and scalable data pipelines and platforms. You will play a critical role in transforming raw data into actionable insights, enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization
Lead and mentor a team of data engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment. Design, develop, and implement scalable and reliable data ingestion, transformation, and storage solutions using various data technologies.
Architect and optimize System of Record application alongside data warehousing and data lake solutions, ensuring data quality, integrity, and security.
Collaborate with business stakeholders, data scientists, and other engineering teams to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Establish and enforce best practices for data engineering, including coding standards, data governance, and data security.
Evaluate and recommend new data technologies and tools to improve efficiency and effectiveness of data operations. Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines and systems, ensuring high availability and performance.
Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for data architecture, processes, and systems. Drive continuous improvement initiatives in data engineering processes and methodologies.

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field. Master's degree preferred.
12+ years of progressive experience in data engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership or lead role.
Proven experience with data technologies such as RDS, Spark, Kafka, Flink, etc.
Expertise in designing and implementing data warehousing solutions (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift).
Strong proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Scala, Java). Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS,) and their data related services.
Solid understanding of data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and data governance principles.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices for data platforms.
