A Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, organization, and hygiene in residential or commercial properties. They ensure that all assigned areas are cleaned, sanitized, and well-presented while providing a safe and comfortable environment for occupants or guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and sanitize bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, and common areas.
- Dust, vacuum, sweep, mop, and polish floors and furniture.
- Change bed linens, make beds, and replace towels and toiletries.
- Empty trash bins and dispose of waste properly.
- Wash, dry, fold, and organize laundry as needed.
- Restock cleaning supplies and report inventory shortages.
- Report maintenance issues or damaged items to the supervisor.
- Follow health, safety, and sanitation standards.
- Handle cleaning equipment and chemicals safely.
- Provide courteous and professional service while respecting privacy and confidentiality.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience is an advantage.
- Knowledge of cleaning methods, equipment, and products.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good time management and communication skills.
- Ability to lift, carry, and move cleaning equipment and supplies.
Work Environment:
Housekeepers may work in hotels, hospitals, offices, schools, or private homes. The role often requires standing, walking, bending, lifting, and performing repetitive cleaning tasks throughout the shift.
Pay: ₹8,086.00 - ₹25,289.05 per month
