Weare seeking a skilled Costing Engineer – MEP to join our team and contribute to accurateproject estimation and cost optimization.
Role Overview:
The Costing Engineer – MEP will be responsible for preparing precise cost estimates, managing tender processes, and ensuring optimal project budgets. This role involves close coordination with project managers, procurement teams, vendors, and clients to deliver cost-effective and timely solutions for MEP projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for MEP projects, covering HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, and Utility systems.
- Manage the end-to-end tendering process, from preparation and submission to negotiation.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams to gather accurate cost data.
- Ensure timely submission of client offers and follow-ups with GC/PMC/End Clients.
- Maintain CRM for project enquiries and track project status.
- Evaluate vendor and supplier quotations, negotiate terms, and achieve cost optimization.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key vendors and suppliers.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies.
- Maintain accurate documentation of cost estimates, budgets, and cost-tracking records.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in MEP cost estimation, preferably in HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, and Utility systems.
- Strong knowledge of MEP systems, installation techniques, and project cost management.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and relevant cost estimation tools/software.
- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
