An experienced E-commerce Accountant with expertise in managing financial operations for online marketplaces and e-commerce platforms. Skilled in handling end-to-end accounting processes, including marketplace reconciliations, payout verification, commission accounting, shipping cost reconciliation, returns and refunds accounting, and GST compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reconcile sales, payouts, and settlements from e-commerce platforms.
- Verify marketplace commissions, shipping charges, and other deductions.
- Account for customer returns, refunds, cancellations, and replacements.
- Perform reconciliation of orders with bank receipts and payment gateway settlements.
- Prepare and maintain accurate accounting records for online sales transactions.
- Monitor receivables and resolve discrepancies with marketplace support teams.
- Generate financial reports, sales analysis, and reconciliation statements.
- Ensure compliance with GST and other applicable tax regulations.
- Coordinate with operations, logistics, and finance teams to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Maintain month-end and year-end closing activities related to e-commerce transactions.
