Job Summary:
The Pharmacist is responsible for dispensing medications, providing patient counseling, reviewing prescriptions for accuracy, monitoring drug interactions, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations. They work closely with patients and healthcare professionals to promote safe medication use and improve health outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and verify prescriptions for accuracy and appropriateness.
- Dispense prescription medications and over-the-counter products.
- Counsel patients on medication usage, dosage, side effects, and storage.
- Monitor patients for drug interactions, allergies, and adverse reactions.
- Maintain accurate patient medication records.
- Manage pharmacy inventory and order medications as needed.
- Ensure compliance with legal, ethical, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
- Provide health screenings, vaccinations, and wellness advice where permitted.
- Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D), depending on local requirements.
- Valid pharmacist license/registration from the relevant regulatory authority.
- Strong knowledge of pharmacology, therapeutics, and medication safety.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
Pay: From ₹12,000.00 per month
