About the Company
Espacios Design Studio specializes in designing and executing premium residential interiors. We are looking for a detail-oriented Draftsman who can convert design concepts into accurate technical drawings and support the design and execution teams throughout the project lifecycle.
Job Summary
The Draftsman will be responsible for preparing detailed technical drawings, working drawings, and shop drawings for interior projects. The ideal candidate should have strong AutoCAD skills, a good understanding of interior detailing, and the ability to coordinate with designers and project execution teams to ensure error-free documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed 2D working drawings for residential interior projects.
- Develop furniture, modular kitchen, wardrobe, ceiling, electrical, plumbing, flooring, and false ceiling drawings.
- Prepare production and shop drawings based on approved designs.
- Coordinate with interior designers to incorporate design revisions into technical drawings.
- Ensure all drawings comply with company standards and site requirements.
- Review drawings for accuracy, dimensions, and technical feasibility.
- Coordinate with project supervisors, site engineers, and vendors to clarify technical details.
- Update drawings as per site modifications and client-approved changes.
- Maintain proper documentation and drawing revisions.
- Assist the design and execution teams with technical support whenever required.
Required Skills
- Excellent proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Good understanding of interior working drawings and detailing.
- Knowledge of modular furniture construction and production drawings.
- Ability to read architectural and structural drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Interior Design, Architecture, Drafting, or a related field.
- 2–3 years of experience as a Draftsman in an interior design or architectural firm.
- Experience in residential interior projects is preferred.
Preferred Software Skills
- AutoCAD (Mandatory)
- SketchUp (Preferred)
- MS Office
- Basic knowledge of SketchUp, Revit, or other drafting software is an added advantage.
