Production Manager - Printing Shop Floor
The Production Manager will lead and oversee all aspects of the printing shop floor and production operations. The role demands strong capabilities in production planning, inventory control, people management, and continuous process improvement to ensure timely, high-quality order fulfillment across e-commerce and B2B channels.
Develop daily, weekly, and monthly production plans to meet order targets.
Supervise order processing, ensuring timely completion and dispatch.
Manage production floor layout and workflows for maximum efficiency.
Oversee stock replenishment for both daily orders and 3PL/warehouse distribution.
Track raw material usage, reorder levels, and printer/media consumption.
Maintain accurate stock reports across e-commerce, FBA, and B2B channels.
Coordinate with procurement and inventory teams to optimize material costs and minimize waste.
Implement quality checkpoints and ensure adherence to design, print, and cutting specifications.
Identify areas for process automation and efficiency enhancement.
Monitor machine performance and ensure preventive maintenance.
Supervise floor staff, assign tasks, and manage factory shifts and holiday schedules.
Enforce safety, cleanliness, and standard operating procedures.
Drive cost-saving initiatives, waste reduction, and recycling efforts.
Recruit, train, and evaluate production staff; foster a motivated and skilled team.
Conduct regular performance reviews and skill-gap assessments.
Ensure clear communication of goals, responsibilities, and company values.
Provide production data and insights for budgeting, forecasting, and management review.
Collaborate with design, HR, inventory, and sales teams for smooth workflow and order execution.
Manage documentation and coordination for 3PL and e-commerce platforms.
Degree/Diploma in Printing Technology, Production/Operations Management, or related fields.
5+ years’ experience in production or printing shop floor management.
Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP systems, and production planning tools.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making ability.
Excellent communication skills in Kannada, Hindi, and English.
Leadership and team-building skills with a focus on quality, efficiency, and cost control.
