The Electrical cum MEP Engineer shall report to the Project Manager and shall be responsible for assisting the Project Manager in monitoring, coordination, supervision, quality control, progress tracking, quantity verification, billing review, and execution management of all electrical and MEP-related works at site.
The Electrical and MEP design development, design review, technical approvals, and approval of critical material submittals shall be carried out by the respective Electrical/MEP Consultants. The Electrical cum MEP Engineer shall coordinate with the Consultants and Contractors to ensure that approved designs, specifications, and project requirements are properly implemented at site.
The responsibilities shall include, but not be limited to, the following:
1. Design Coordination and Technical Support
- Coordinate with the Electrical and MEP Consultants, Contractors, and other stakeholders for timely resolution of technical issues.
- Review approved drawings, specifications, BOQ, and technical documents to ensure proper implementation at site.
- Assist the Project Manager in monitoring compliance of site works with approved drawings, specifications, and contract requirements.
- Coordinate with Consultants for design clarifications, technical queries, and necessary approvals required during project execution.
- Monitor submission status of shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and technical documents by contractors and coordinate with Consultants for review and approval.
2. Site Supervision and Execution Monitoring
- Assist the Project Manager in supervising electrical and MEP works during construction and ensure execution as per approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
- Monitor daily progress of electrical and MEP works, including installation, testing, and commissioning activities.
- Review contractor work plans, construction sequences, manpower deployment, and resource allocation for timely completion.
- Conduct regular site inspections and identify quality issues, deviations, and non-conformities.
- Coordinate with contractors for timely rectification of defects and implementation of corrective actions.
- Coordinate with civil, architectural, structural, and other service teams to avoid interface issues and delays.
3. Quality Control and Inspection
- Verify that materials installed at site are as per approved material submittals and project specifications.
- Coordinate inspection activities with Consultants and Contractors.
- Review inspection requests, test reports, and quality records submitted by contractors.
- Witness testing and commissioning activities along with Consultants wherever required.
- Monitor workmanship quality and ensure compliance with project standards.
- Maintain records of inspections, approvals, test certificates, and quality-related documents.
4. Progress Monitoring and Reporting
- Monitor contractor progress against approved project schedules.
- Verify actual physical progress achieved at site and provide regular updates to the Project Manager.
- Review daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports submitted by contractors.
- Prepare electrical and MEP progress monitoring reports.
- Identify delays, constraints, and site issues affecting completion and report the same to the Project Manager.
- Provide inputs for monthly progress reports, dashboards, and project review meetings.
5. Quantity Verification and Billing Responsibilities
- Review and verify electrical and MEP BOQ quantities, quantity take-offs, and executed measurements.
- Verify contractor measurements and work completion status for interim payment applications and Running Account (RA) bills.
- Check quantities claimed by contractors against actual site execution, approved drawings, and specifications.
- Assist the Project Manager in reviewing and certifying contractor bills.
- Review material reconciliation, consumption records, and relevant supporting documents.
- Review variations, additional items, deviations, and rate analysis related to electrical and MEP works and provide inputs to the Project Manager.
- Assist in reviewing contractor claims, change orders, and final account settlements related to electrical and MEP works.
6. Contract Administration and Documentation
- Maintain records of approved drawings, technical submissions, inspection reports, measurements, approvals, and correspondence.
- Assist the Project Manager in monitoring contractor compliance with contractual requirements.
- Maintain records related to testing, commissioning, operation manuals, as-built drawings, and handover documentation.
- Assist in preparation and monitoring of snag lists and ensure timely closure of outstanding items.
7. Coordination and Stakeholder Management
- Coordinate with Client, PMC team, Consultants, Contractors, and Vendors for smooth execution of electrical and MEP works.
- Attend project coordination meetings and provide updates on progress, issues, and required actions.
- Assist the Project Manager in preparation of technical presentations, progress reports, and review meeting documents.
- Ensure timely communication and follow-up for resolution of technical and execution-related issues.
8. Testing, Commissioning and Handover Support
- Monitor testing and commissioning activities carried out by contractors.
- Coordinate with Consultants for witnessing, verification, and acceptance of completed systems.
- Review testing records, commissioning reports, operation manuals, warranties, and handover documents.
- Monitor completion of punch points and ensure readiness for final handover.
The Electrical cum MEP Engineer shall provide continuous technical, coordination, site monitoring, and commercial support to the Project Manager to ensure timely completion of electrical and MEP works in accordance with approved quality standards, project specifications, contract requirements, cost, and schedule.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹150,000.00 per month
