Job Overview
We are looking for a senior and creative Head – Home Textile Designer to lead and drive the design function of our home textiles division. The role involves end-to-end ownership of the design process—from concept development to final production. The position requires close collaboration with internal teams and external partners while maintaining high standards of quality, creativity, and brand alignment. The role is full-time and based in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India, requiring 6 to 10 years of relevant industry experience.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Textile Design or related field.
- Proven 6 to 10 years of experience in home textile design, with a strong portfolio showcasing creative and commercially successful designs.
- Proficiency in design software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and CorelDRAW.
- In-depth knowledge of home textile materials, construction techniques, and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to interpret market trends and customer preferences and translate them into unique and appealing designs.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to effectively manage a design team.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Attention to detail and a keen eye for color, texture, and pattern.
- Knowledge of sustainable and eco-friendly design practices is a plus.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Lead the home textile design team and oversee the entire design process from concept to production.
- Develop innovative and marketable designs for a range of home textile products, including bedding, bath linens, curtains, and decorative accessories.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development, production, and marketing, to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality products.
- Stay updated with the latest design trends, materials, and technologies in the home textile industry.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior designers, helping them develop their skills and creativity.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify customer preferences, competitor products, and emerging trends.
- Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers to source materials and ensure product quality and compliance.
- Maintain accurate design documentation, including technical drawings, color specifications, and material samples.
- Ensure that all designs adhere to company standards, brand guidelines, and customer requirements.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
