Job Description: Computer EngineerRole Overview
The Computer Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and testing computer hardware and software systems. This role bridges the gap between electrical engineering and computer science, focusing on how software interacts with hardware components to create efficient, high-performance computing solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- System Design & Development: Design and oversee the manufacturing of hardware components such as processors, circuit boards, memory devices, and routers.
- Software Integration: Develop and maintain firmware and low-level software (drivers) to ensure seamless communication between hardware and operating systems.
- Testing & Validation: Conduct rigorous testing of new hardware and software configurations to identify bugs, performance bottlenecks, or hardware failures.
- Optimization: Analyze system requirements to update existing equipment and improve integration, speed, and reliability.
- Prototyping: Build and test prototypes of new products, utilizing computer-aided design (CAD) software to create detailed blueprints.
- Collaboration: Work alongside software developers and project managers to ensure hardware specifications meet the needs of intended applications.
Required Skills & QualificationsTechnical Skills
- Hardware Knowledge: Proficiency in circuit design, microprocessors, and embedded systems.
- Programming Languages: Strong command of low-level languages like C* and C++, as well as hardware description languages like VHDL* or Verilog.
- Operating Systems: In-depth understanding of Linux/Unix environments and real-time operating systems (RTOS).
- Analytical Tools: Experience with CAD software and logic analyzers for hardware simulation and debugging.
Soft Skills
- Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot complex system failures and implement long-term solutions.
- Detail-Oriented: Precision in designing intricate circuits and writing efficient code.
- Communication: Ability to explain technical specifications to non-technical stakeholders.
Education & Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree is often preferred for specialized research and development roles.
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in hardware development, firmware engineering, or systems architecture is typically required for mid-level positions.
Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
