Key Responsibilities
- Lead complete plant operations across production, quality, maintenance, stores, dispatch and safety.
- Prepare and execute daily, weekly and monthly production plans.
- Ensure production targets are achieved with strong control over quality, cost and delivery.
- Improve machine utilisation, manpower productivity and process efficiency.
- Reduce rejection, rework, scrap, wastage and customer complaints.
- Implement stage-wise quality checks from raw material to final dispatch.
- Maintain discipline in BOM, routing, production orders, WIP and finished goods movement.
- Coordinate with purchase, stores, sales, dispatch and vendors for smooth execution.
- Ensure preventive maintenance, breakdown control and machine uptime.
- Improve packaging quality and dispatch readiness.
- Build SOPs, daily reporting systems, visual controls and shop-floor accountability.
- Train and lead supervisors, operators, helpers, quality inspectors and maintenance staff.
- Support new product development by making products manufacturable, cost-effective and quality-consistent.
- Drive 5S, safety, housekeeping, lean improvements and cost-reduction projects.
Required Experience
- 12–18 years of manufacturing experience.
- Minimum 5 years in plant/factory leadership.
- Experience in modular kitchen accessories, furniture hardware, stainless steel fabrication, wire products, sheet metal, modular furniture, hardware assemblies, or light engineering manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of production planning, quality control, maintenance, manpower handling and cost control.
- Experience in SME manufacturing setup preferred.
- ERP/manufacturing system exposure preferred.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is hands-on, disciplined, practical and numbers-driven. They should be comfortable on the shop floor, capable of handling workers and supervisors, and strong enough to enforce quality and process discipline. This role is for someone who can build systems, not merely maintain existing ones.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
