The Digital Marketing & Social Media Manager is a full-time, on-site role responsible for shaping, growing, and protecting the school’s digital footprint. This role bridges creative storytelling and data-driven marketing to drive student recruitment, increase brand awareness, and foster strong community engagement. The ideal candidate will spend their workdays on campus capturing daily school life, managing parent and alumni communications, and optimizing paid lead-generation campaigns to meet enrollment targets.Key Responsibilities & Essential Duties1. On-Campus Storytelling & Social Media Management
- Live Content Capture: Spend active time daily in classrooms, at sports events, and during arts performances to capture high-quality photos and short-form video (Reels, Shorts, Stories).
- Content Calendar: Plan, write, and schedule a consistent weekly organic content pipeline across platforms like Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
- Community Management: Monitor comments and direct messages daily, responding to inquiries from prospective and current families promptly and professionally.
2. Paid Ads & Enrollment Marketing (Performance Marketing)
- Lead Generation: Design, launch, and optimize targeted paid ad campaigns on Meta Ads Manager and Google Ads to drive attendance to Open Houses and increase inquiries.
- Budget Management: Oversee the digital advertising budget, monitoring and lowering the Cost Per Acquisition (CPA) of new student leads.
3. Website Optimization, SEO & Email Marketing
- Website Management: Keep the school website up-to-date with current events, calendar changes, and dynamic landing pages for admissions campaigns.
- SEO: Optimize website copy and write school blog posts to improve local search rankings (e.g., "best schools near me").
- Email Campaigns: Design and write weekly/monthly school newsletters for current families and structured automated email sequences to nurture prospective leads.
4. Crisis Communication & Brand Safety
- Rapid Response: Work directly with school leadership during operational hours to quickly draft and post urgent announcements regarding weather closures, safety updates, or schedule changes.
- Privacy Compliance: Ensure all published media strictly adheres to student privacy laws (such as COPPA) and parental photo/video consent forms.
Requisition RequirementsEducation & Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
- Experience: 3+ years of full-time professional experience managing social media and multi-channel digital marketing campaigns. Experience working within education, non-profits, or youth-centric organizations is highly preferred.
Required Digital Marketing CertificationsCandidates must hold or be actively working toward at least one of the following certifications:
- Google Ads Certification (Search, Display, or Video)
- Meta Certified Digital Marketing Associate or Creative Strategy Professional
- HubSpot Inbound Marketing or Content Marketing Certification
- Google Analytics 4 (GA4) Certification
Technical & Creative Skills
- Creative Tools: Advanced proficiency in mobile video editing apps (e.g., CapCut) and graphic design platforms (e.g., Canva, Adobe Express).
- Marketing Tech Stack: Familiarity with website Content Management Systems (CMS), email marketing tools (e.g., Mailchimp, HubSpot), and social media schedulers (e.g., Hootsuite, Sprout Social).
- Analytics: Strong capability to navigate Google Analytics 4 to track user behavior and conversion goals.
