About the Role
Amity Global School, Gurugram is seeking a passionate and experienced IBDP Computer Science Facilitator to deliver high-quality, inquiry-based learning aligned with the IB philosophy. The ideal candidate must have prior experience teaching the IB curriculum and a strong command of Computer Science concepts.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging Computer Science lessons for IBDP students in accordance with the IB curriculum.
- Design lesson plans, assessments, and learning experiences that promote inquiry, critical thinking, and problem-solving.
- Teach key Computer Science concepts, including programming, algorithms, computational thinking, databases, networking, and system design.
- Assess student progress through formative and summative assessments and provide timely, constructive feedback.
- Foster an inclusive, student-centred classroom environment that encourages independent learning.
- Integrate technology effectively into teaching and learning practices.
- Maintain accurate academic records, student portfolios, and progress reports.
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum planning, interdisciplinary learning, and school initiatives.
- Participate in parent-teacher meetings, professional development programmes, and school events.
- Stay updated with the latest developments in Computer Science education and IB teaching practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- B.Ed. or an equivalent teaching qualification is preferred.
- IB professional development/training will be an added advantage.
Experience
- 2–3 years of teaching experience in Computer Science within an IB World School is mandatory.
- Hands-on experience teaching the IB Diploma Programme (IBDP) Computer Science curriculum is essential.
Skills Required
- Strong subject knowledge in Computer Science and programming.
- Thorough understanding of the IB philosophy, pedagogy, and assessment practices.
- Excellent communication, classroom management, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create engaging, inquiry-driven learning experiences.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in educational technology and digital learning tools.
Pay: ₹70,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
