About the Role
This is a consultative engineering sales role — not catalogue selling. As a Sales Engineer, you will visit client sites, diagnose IAQ and HVAC challenges, recommend the right solution, prepare proposals, close orders and stay involved through installation and payment. You will own the full sales journey from first meeting to commissioning.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Meet clients after lead generation; understand their space, use case, air-quality concerns and decision process
- Conduct technical site assessments — inspect airflow, ventilation, ducting, room layout, occupancy, filtration needs and installation feasibility
- Translate site findings into suitable clean-air / HVAC / air-filtration recommendations
- Prepare techno-commercial proposals, BOQs, scope notes and Proforma Invoices
- Follow up with discipline, handle objections, negotiate terms and secure Purchase Orders
- Coordinate with manufacturing, dispatch, service and installation teams for smooth project execution
- Track payment milestones, support collections and maintain accurate pipeline records
- Build long-term client relationships for AMC, referrals, upgrades and repeat business
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil or a related engineering discipline
- 1–5 years in technical sales — HVAC, air cleaners, IAQ, filtration, industrial machinery or project-based equipment sales preferred
- Working knowledge of airflow, ventilation, ducting, filtration systems or HVAC fundamentals
- Ability to read and interpret site layouts, basic drawings and installation constraints
- Strong communication, consultative questioning, negotiation and follow-up skills
- Willingness to travel across Delhi NCR and client sites
- Experience selling to corporates, facility managers, consultants, architects, schools, hospitals or industrial customers
- Exposure to AMC renewals, service contracts, project coordination or collections
- Comfort using CRM tools, lead trackers and spreadsheets
- Interest in indoor air quality, PM2.5, CO2, ventilation or sustainability-led solutions
