We are looking for a Business Development Manager who lives at the intersection of deep technical understanding and relentless commercial execution. Someone who can walk into a DRDO lab, a UAV integrator’s engineering review, or a robotics OEM’s strategy meeting and speak their language fluently — because you’ve lived it.
The Role
This is not a desk-and-dial job. This is a full-time, on-site role based at our advanced manufacturing and engineering facility in Shamshabad, Hyderabad. You will be immersed in the same ecosystem where our propulsion systems are conceived, refined, tested, and built. Real-time collaboration with design, quality (AS9100), and production teams is not optional — it is how we win.
You will own the full business development lifecycle for our propulsion and motion-control portfolio across UAV, defense, and robotics verticals:
- Identify, qualify, and convert high-value opportunities with UAV OEMs, defense primes, system integrators, and robotics companies — both in India and internationally.
- Lead complex, technical sales cycles: RFP responses, custom solutioning, technical presentations, and contract negotiations.
- Build and nurture long-term strategic partnerships rather than transactional orders. You will become the trusted advisor who understands not just thrust and KV ratings, but the mission parameters, environmental stresses, and supply-chain security requirements that actually matter.
- Represent Vector Technics at key industry platforms — trade shows, technical working groups, and customer sites — translating field intelligence back into product and process improvements.
- Maintain rigorous pipeline discipline, accurate forecasting, and CRM hygiene while working shoulder-to-shoulder with leadership on strategic account planning.
- Champion indigenous capability. You will articulate why a fully traceable, NDAA-aligned, Made-in-India propulsion solution is not just compliant — it is strategically superior.
Who Thrives Here
You are not a generic “sales guy.” You are a domain-fluent builder with:
- 5–8+ years of proven B2B business development or strategic sales experience selling UAV/drone components, robotics motion systems, aerospace actuators, or mission-critical power electronics.
- Demonstrated success navigating long-cycle, technical, and often multi-stakeholder deals in defense, aerospace, or advanced robotics.
- Strong technical acumen — you can comfortably discuss motor constants, ESC firmware behavior, thermal management, propeller dynamics, and system-level integration trade-offs.
- Existing relationships or credible access within the Indian UAV ecosystem, defense procurement landscape, or global robotics integrators (a significant advantage).
- Comfort with ambiguity, ownership of outcomes, and the ability to operate with minimal hand-holding in a high-growth, high-standards environment.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
Engineering background (Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, or Mechatronics) is strongly preferred. Experience with AS9100/ISO environments, government tenders, or export-controlled technologies is a plus.
