Designation : Software Engineer (Magento 2)
Experience Range : 2+ years
What is the work?
- Develop, customise, and maintain Magento 2 modules and backend functionalities
- Work on Magento 2 customisation, extension development, and third-party integrations
- Integrate and manage third-party APIs using REST and SOAP
- Perform basic to intermediate-level integration of React with Magento
- Follow Magento coding standards, security guidelines, and best practices
- Perform debugging, issue resolution, and performance optimisation
- Stay up to date with Magento upgrades, patches, and emerging technologies.
What skills and experience are we looking for?
- 2–3 years of hands-on experience in Magento 2 development
- Strong understanding of Magento 2 architecture, MVC, EAV, and coding standards
- Experience working with Magento CLI and Composer
- Understanding of Magento themes, layouts, and XML configuration
- Familiarity with Dependency Injection (DI), Plugins, and Observers
- Basic understanding of Magento Cloud and deployment workflows
- Good to have - Proficiency in PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Experience integrating REST and SOAP APIs
- Exposure to React.js and modern frontend frameworks is an advantage
- Familiarity with Git and version control systems
- Experience with performance optimisation, caching mechanisms, and deployment processes
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to analyse requirements and translate them into technical solutions
