Position Summary
The Pre-Primary Teacher will be responsible for creating a safe, engaging, and stimulating learning environment that promotes the cognitive, emotional, social, physical, and language development of young learners in accordance with CBSE and NEP 2020 guidelines.
Key ResponsibilitiesAcademic Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver age-appropriate lessons and activities.
- Implement play-based, activity-based, and experiential learning methodologies.
- Develop foundational literacy, numeracy, communication, and life skills.
- Prepare lesson plans, teaching aids, worksheets, and learning materials.
- Conduct regular assessments and maintain student progress records.
- Foster curiosity, creativity, and independent thinking among students.
Classroom Management
- Create a positive, safe, and child-friendly classroom environment.
- Maintain discipline through positive reinforcement and child-centric practices.
- Ensure classroom displays, learning corners, and educational resources are updated regularly.
- Monitor students' health, hygiene, safety, and well-being throughout the school day.
Parent Communication
- Maintain regular communication with parents regarding student progress.
- Attend Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTMs) and school events.
- Provide timely feedback and support to parents for the holistic development of students.
School Responsibilities
- Participate actively in school assemblies, celebrations, events, competitions, and co-curricular activities.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers, coordinators, and school leadership.
- Attend training programs, workshops, and professional development sessions.
- Support admission counselling and student orientation activities when required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in any discipline.
- Diploma/Degree in Early Childhood Care & Education (ECCE), Montessori, NTT, D.El.Ed., B.Ed. (preferred).
- Fluency in English is mandatory.
- Knowledge of CBSE curriculum and NEP 2020 is desirable.
Experience
- Minimum 1-3 years of teaching experience in Nursery, Jr. KG, Sr. KG, or Pre-Primary classes.
- Freshers with excellent communication skills and a passion for teaching young children may also apply.
