Job Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Executive to manage day-to-day accounting operations in a fast-paced logistics environment. The ideal candidate should have experience in transportation or logistics accounting and possess strong knowledge of accounting principles, statutory compliance, vendor payments, and reconciliation processes.
The role requires close coordination with Operations, Billing, MIS, and Finance teams to ensure timely and accurate financial transactions.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable
- Process and verify vendor invoices, transporter bills, and expense vouchers.
- Prepare payment schedules and coordinate timely vendor payments.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
Banking & Reconciliation
- Perform daily bank reconciliations.
- Record bank transactions accurately in the accounting system.
- Handle NEFT/RTGS/IMPS payment processing.
General Accounting
- Pass journal entries, payment entries, receipt entries, and contra entries.
- Maintain proper accounting records and supporting documents.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities.
Logistics Accounting
- Verify trip expenses and transportation-related costs.
- Reconcile diesel, toll, loading/unloading, and vehicle-related expenses.
- Coordinate with Operations for trip sheet verification and cost validation.
Reporting
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports.
- Maintain expense trackers and payment registers.
- Generate reports as required by management.
Documentation
- Maintain proper filing of vouchers, invoices, and financial documents.
- Ensure all accounting records comply with company policies and audit requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Commerce (B.Com) or equivalent.
Experience
- 1–2 years of experience in Accounts.
- Experience in Logistics, Transportation, Freight, Supply Chain, or 3PL/4PL industry will be preferred.
Technical Skills
- Knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping.
- Experience with ERP/Tally or other accounting software.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, formulas).
- Knowledge of bank reconciliation and ledger management.
