Job Description – Medical Director
Organization: Raigad Hospital and Research Centre
Position: Medical Director
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide overall clinical, academic, and strategic leadership to the hospital.
- Ensure delivery of safe, ethical, and high-quality patient care.
- Supervise and coordinate the functioning of all clinical departments.
- Formulate and implement medical policies, protocols, and quality initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with NMC, NABH, and other statutory requirements.
- Oversee medical audits, infection control, patient safety, and accreditation activities.
- Address medico-legal matters and patient grievances related to clinical services.
- Guide recruitment, credentialing, appraisal, and professional development of medical staff.
- Promote teaching, research, CME programmes, and academic excellence.
- Coordinate with management to achieve institutional objectives and operational efficiency.
Qualification:
- MD/MS/DNB in a recognized clinical specialty from a recognized institution.
- Valid NMC/State Medical Council Registration.
- Additional qualification in Hospital Administration/Healthcare Management will be preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum 10–15 years of post-qualification experience, preferably with at least 5 years in a senior administrative or leadership role in a reputed hospital or medical institution.
