Key Responsibilities
- Design and engineer utility-scale ground-mounted solar PV projects.
- Prepare DC and AC system layouts, SLDs, cable routing, earthing, and lightning protection designs.
- Perform plant simulations and energy yield analysis using PVsyst.
- Prepare detailed engineering drawings using AutoCAD.
- Design electrical systems in compliance with applicable standards and client requirements.
- Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ), technical specifications, and engineering documentation.
- Coordinate with Procurement, Projects, and Execution teams for seamless project delivery.
- Review vendor drawings and technical documents.
- Optimize plant layouts to improve generation and reduce project costs.
- Support tendering and proposal preparation with technical inputs.
- Work on Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) integration and basic system design.
- Ensure compliance with MNRE, CEA, DISCOM, and relevant IEC/IS standards.
- Provide technical support during project execution, commissioning, and handover.
Required Skills
- Strong experience in Ground-Mounted Solar PV Plant Design.
- Knowledge of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).
- Expertise in AutoCAD and PVsyst.
- Electrical system design and engineering.
- Preparation of BOQ and technical documentation.
- Understanding of HT/LT systems, substations, and power evacuation.
- Familiarity with IEC, IS, CEA, and MNRE standards.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and coordination skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with utility-scale solar EPC projects.
- Knowledge of SCADA, protection systems, and grid connectivity.
- Exposure to ETAP, Helioscope, or similar engineering software.
- Ability to lead design reviews and mentor junior engineers.
