Job Summary
The Store Manager is responsible for managing the complete site-store operations, including receipt, inspection, storage, issue, and inventory control of construction materials, tools, equipment, and consumables. The role ensures materials are available at the right time, in the right quantity, and are properly accounted for throughout the project.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day operations of the construction site store.
- Receive materials from suppliers and verify quantity, specifications, and condition against purchase orders, delivery challans, and material requisitions.
- Maintain proper records for all incoming and outgoing materials.
- Issue materials to site teams based on approved Material Requisitions/Indent Requests.
- Maintain accurate stock registers, bin cards, GRN/MRN, and material issue records.
- Monitor minimum and maximum stock levels and initiate replenishment requests when required.
- Ensure proper storage, identification, stacking, and preservation of cement, steel, aggregates, pipes, fittings, electrical materials, tools, PPE, and other construction materials.
- Conduct regular physical stock verification and reconcile discrepancies.
- Track slow-moving, excess, damaged, obsolete, and rejected materials.
- Coordinate with Procurement, Accounts, QA/QC, Planning, and Site Engineering teams.
- Ensure materials are issued on a FIFO basis wherever applicable.
- Maintain proper documentation for material returns, transfers, and scrap disposal.
- Monitor material consumption against project requirements and approved quantities.
- Maintain records of tools and equipment issued to workers and subcontractors.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures, safety requirements, and site-store standards.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly stock and consumption reports.
- Support project audits and provide inventory-related documents when required.
- Supervise storekeepers, helpers, and other store personnel.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, Materials Management, or a related field.
- Relevant experience in construction-site stores, preferably in civil/infrastructure projects.
- Good knowledge of construction materials and site-store procedures.
- Working knowledge of MS Excel and inventory/store-management software or ERP systems.
- Strong documentation, coordination, and inventory-control skills.
Preferred Experience
- **3–8 years** of experience in construction or infrastructure site stores.
- Experience with large-scale building, road, industrial, commercial, or infrastructure projects is an advantage.
- Experience handling materials such as reinforcement steel, cement, shuttering materials, pipes, fittings, hardware, tools, PPE, and consumables.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
