Job Summary
The Assistant Manager – HR is responsible for managing HR operations with a strong focus on payroll processing, HR data management, MIS reporting, and advanced Excel-based reporting systems. The role requires expertise in payroll administration, statutory compliance, employee records management, and HR analytics while ensuring smooth and accurate HR operations.
Key ResponsibilitiesPayroll & Compensation
- Process monthly payroll accurately and within deadlines.
- Maintain payroll records including attendance, overtime, leave, deductions, incentives, and final settlements.
- Coordinate statutory compliance such as PF, ESI, gratuity, labor laws, and tax-related documentation.
- Verify payroll inputs and resolve payroll discrepancies.
- Prepare salary statements, payroll reports, and reconciliation reports.
HR Operations
- Maintain employee records, HR databases, and documentation.
- Monitor attendance, leave management, and employee lifecycle activities.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, confirmation, and exit formalities.
- Ensure implementation of HR policies and procedures.
Excel & MIS Reporting
- Prepare advanced HR MIS reports and dashboards using Excel.
- Analyze manpower, payroll, attendance, overtime, and attrition data.
- Use advanced Excel functions such as Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, IF formulas, data validation, conditional formatting, and report automation.
- Generate management reports and workforce analytics.
- Maintain confidentiality and accuracy of HR data.
Employee Relations & Compliance
- Support employee engagement and grievance handling activities.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies.
- Assist during audits and statutory inspections.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Commerce, Business Administration, or related field.
- MBA / PG Diploma in HR is preferred.
- 4–7 years of HR experience with strong payroll handling experience.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is mandatory.
- Knowledge of payroll software and HRMS systems.
- Strong understanding of labor laws and statutory compliance.
