Job Summary
The CBG Sales Head will lead and scale the entire CBG sales vertical — from strategy and team building to revenue ownership and key account management. This is a senior leadership role requiring deep domain knowledge of CBG/biogas, strong commercial acumen, and the ability to drive pan-India business growth.
Roles & Responsibilities
A. Sales Strategy & Revenue Leadership
Define and execute the annual CBG sales strategy, own revenue targets, identify new market segments, and develop pricing frameworks for CBG projects and consultancy offerings.
B. Key Account & Stakeholder Management
Build and manage relationships with institutional clients, cooperatives, and municipalities; represent Biofics at senior-level meetings, government forums, and industry events; drive high-value deal closures independently.
C. Team Leadership & Development
Build, lead, and mentor a pan-India CBG sales team; set targets, monitor performance, conduct pipeline reviews, and ensure continuous capability building across the sales hierarchy.
D. Techno-Commercial & Proposal Oversight
Review and approve techno-commercial proposals, DPRs, and project quotations; collaborate with technical and finance teams to ensure commercially viable and profitable submissions.
E. Market Intelligence & Business Planning
Track CBG sector trends, SATAT/MNRE policy developments, and competitor activities; provide strategic market intelligence inputs to leadership for business planning and expansion decisions.
F. Reporting & CRM Governance
Ensure CRM discipline across the team; submit weekly/monthly/quarterly sales MIS and forecasts to the Director/CXO; maintain full pipeline visibility and proactively flag risks.
Key Skills & Requirements
- 8–12 years in B2B sales or BD with 4–5 years in CBG, biogas, or renewable energy sector.
- Proven track record of leading teams and closing large-value projects.
- Strong knowledge of CBG project economics, DPR preparation, and SATAT policy.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Willingness to travel extensively across India.
- Proficiency in CRM tools and MS Office.
Educational Qualification
- B.E./B.Tech in any trade
- Strong domain expertise in CBG/biogas considered regardless of educational background.
