Job Description: Production Engineer (Pressure Vessels, Heat Exchangers)
Experience Required: 2-5 years
Position Overview:
Responsible for planning, monitoring, and supervising fabrication activities for Pressure Vessels, Heat Exchangers, Columns, Storage Tanks, Piping Spools, and other static equipment to ensure timely and quality project execution
Key Responsibilities:
- BOM Generation: Prepare and maintain accurate Bills of Materials for pressure vessels, heat exchangers, and related equipment.
- Design & Drafting: Utilize AutoCAD to create and modify detailed technical drawings, including assembly, part drawings, and layout designs for manufacturing.
- Production Support: Work closely with the production team to provide technical guidance and support during the fabrication process.
- Process Improvement: Analyze production processes and identify opportunities for improvement, ensuring efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Materials Management: Collaborate with procurement teams to ensure that the necessary materials are available for production and meet the design specifications.
- Quality Control: Ensure that all products meet quality standards and comply with industry codes and regulations.
- Troubleshooting: Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues that arise during production.
- Documentation: Maintain up-to-date technical documentation, including BOMs, design changes, and production reports.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience: 2-5 years of experience in a production engineering role, particularly in the fabrication of pressure vessels, heat exchangers, or similar industrial equipment.
- Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of manufacturing processes related to pressure vessels, heat exchangers, and other similar systems.
- AutoCAD Proficiency: High level of proficiency in AutoCAD for creating and editing technical drawings and schematics.
- BOM Knowledge: Hands-on experience in generating and managing Bills of Materials for complex equipment.
- Communication Skills: Ability to collaborate effectively with design, procurement, and production teams.
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail in drafting, BOM preparation, and ensuring production accuracy.
- Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to solve production-related issues efficiently.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
- 2–5 years of experience in fabrication/manufacturing of static equipment.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and knowledge of fabrication processes.Proficiency in MS Office
