- 1. Financial Accounting
- Maintain day-to-day accounting records.
2. School Fee Management
- Manage student fee collection and fee records.
- Generate fee receipts and maintain fee ledgers.
- Track pending fee payments and prepare defaulter reports.
- Coordinate with the admission department regarding fee structures and concessions.
- Process refunds, adjustments, and scholarships as per school policies.
3. Payroll Management
- Prepare monthly salary statements.
- Process staff salaries after approval.
- Calculate statutory deductions such as PF, ESI, TDS, and Professional Tax (where applicable).
- Maintain employee payroll records.
- Issue salary slips.
4. Budgeting & Financial Reporting
- Assist in preparing the annual school budget.
- Monitor departmental expenditures.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Present financial statements to the management.
5. Statutory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with GST (where applicable), TDS, Income Tax, PF, ESI, and other statutory regulations.
- Coordinate with auditors during internal and statutory audits.
- Maintain proper documentation for audit purposes.
- Prepare financial records required by educational authorities.
6. Procurement & Vendor Management
- Verify purchase orders and invoices.
- Process vendor payments after necessary approvals.
- Maintain vendor records.
- Reconcile outstanding payments.
7. Record Management
- Maintain all financial documents securely.
- Archive accounting records as per school policy.
- Ensure confidentiality of financial information.
8. Coordination
- Coordinate with banks regarding financial transactions.
- Support the HR department for payroll and employee reimbursements.
- Assist the administration in budget planning and financial decision-making.
- Respond to parent fee-related queries professionally.
- Record all receipts, payments, journal entries, and bank transactions.
- Prepare vouchers and maintain ledgers.
- Reconcile bank statements on a regular basis.
- Monitor cash flow and maintain petty cash records.
