Key Responsibilities – Farm Manager
Farm Operations
* Manage the day-to-day operations of the farm.
* Ensure timely execution of sowing, transplanting, irrigation, intercultural operations, harvesting, and post-harvest activities.
* Maintain farm cleanliness, infrastructure, machinery, and equipment.
* Ensure all farm activities are completed according to the farm schedule.
Crop Management
* Supervise the cultivation of horticultural crops including tomato, brinjal, capsicum, strawberry, cucumber, flowers, and other vegetables.
* Monitor crop growth on a daily basis and report any abnormalities to the Farm Consultant or Management.
* Ensure all crop operations are carried out as per the prescribed Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Pest & Disease Monitoring
* Regularly inspect crops for pests, diseases, weeds, and nutrient deficiency symptoms.
* Immediately report any infestation or disease outbreak to the Farm Consultant.
* Ensure timely application of pesticides, fungicides, fertilizers, and other crop inputs strictly as per the recommendations provided by the Farm Consultant or Management.
* Maintain spray records and ensure safe handling and application of agrochemicals.
Irrigation & Fertigation
* Operate and supervise irrigation and fertigation systems.
* Ensure irrigation and fertilizer applications are carried out according to the approved schedule.
* Monitor irrigation equipment and report any operational issues.
Labour Management
* Plan, assign, and supervise daily labour activities.
* Maintain labour attendance and productivity records.
* Ensure workers follow SOPs, safety practices, and quality standards.
* Train new labourers on farm operations whenever required.
Farm Records & Reporting
* Maintain daily records of farm activities, labour, input usage, irrigation, harvesting, and production.
* Submit daily and weekly reports to Management.
* Keep inventory records of seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, tools, and consumables.
Compliance & Quality
* Ensure compliance with company SOPs, safety guidelines, and Good Agricultural Practices (GAP).
* Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and discipline across the farm.
* Support Management and the Farm Consultant in achieving production and quality targets.
Required Skills
* Strong practical knowledge of horticultural crop production.
* Ability to identify common pests, diseases, and nutrient deficiencies.
* Basic understanding of fertilizers, pesticides, fungicides, and irrigation practices.
* Excellent labour management and team leadership skills.
* Good observation, reporting, and record-keeping abilities.
* Ability to work under the guidance of the Farm Consultant and execute instructions efficiently.
* Basic computer and smartphone skills (Excel, WhatsApp, record keeping).
Experience
* 3–7 years of practical farm management experience in horticultural crops.
* Experience in open-field and/or protected cultivation will be preferred.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
Work Location: Hybrid remote in Khangesra, Haryana
