Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Senior Accounts Manager to oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, taxation, compliance, and team management. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in finance and accounting, preferably from the Diamond, Gems & Jewellery, or Precious Metals industry.
Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Reporting & Compliance
- Prepare and finalize Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss Account, and Cash Flow Statements.
- Ensure timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing.
- Coordinate and manage statutory, tax, and internal audits.
- Liaise with auditors and ensure regulatory compliance.
Taxation & Regulatory Compliance
- Manage GST, TDS, Income Tax, Advance Tax, Professional Tax, and other statutory compliances.
- Stay updated with changes in tax laws, GST regulations, and accounting standards.
- Handle GST and Income Tax assessments, audits, and notices whenever required.
Accounts & Financial Controls
- Oversee Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Bank Reconciliation, and Inventory Accounting.
- Establish and monitor internal financial controls.
- Manage export-import accounting, consignment transactions, and related documentation.
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial records.
Team Management
- Lead and mentor the Accounts team.
- Allocate work, review performance, and ensure timely reporting.
- Train team members on accounting practices, ERP systems, and compliance updates.
Strategic Finance
- Prepare MIS reports and financial analysis for management.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, cash flow planning, and cost control initiatives.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to support business objectives.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Experience: 7–12 years in Finance & Accounts, preferably in the Diamond, Gems & Jewellery, or Precious Metals industry.
- Qualification: Chartered Accountant (CA) preferred but not mandatory. B.Com, M.Com, or MBA Finance candidates with relevant experience are welcome to apply.
- Strong knowledge of:
- Financial Statements (Balance Sheet, P&L, Cash Flow)
- GST, TDS, Income Tax & Statutory Compliance
- Accounting Standards & Financial Reporting
- Inventory Accounting and Export Documentation
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems, Tally, or other accounting software.
- Proven experience in leading and managing finance teams.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work under deadlines with high attention to detail.
