Security Manager – Roles & Responsibilities
Qualification: Must be an Ex-Serviceman or Retired Police Officer (Rank Holder)
Key Responsibilities:
- Security Operations Management
- Oversee and manage all security operations across the property/premises.
- Ensure effective deployment of security personnel in all critical areas.
- Maintain a safe and secure environment for guests, employees, visitors, and assets.
- Team Leadership
- Supervise, train, and guide security staff on security procedures and emergency response.
- Conduct regular briefings, inspections, and performance evaluations.
- Ensure discipline, grooming, and professional conduct of the security team.
- Access Control & Surveillance
- Monitor entry and exit points of employees, visitors, vendors, and contractors.
- Ensure proper functioning of CCTV systems, security equipment, and access control systems.
- Investigate and report any suspicious activities.
- Safety & Emergency Management
- Lead emergency response activities during fire, accidents, medical emergencies, or security threats.
- Conduct regular emergency drills and security awareness programs.
- Coordinate with local police, fire department, and other authorities when required.
- Incident Investigation
- Investigate security breaches, thefts, misconduct, and other incidents.
- Prepare detailed incident reports and recommend corrective actions.
- Maintain records of all security-related incidents and investigations.
- Asset Protection
- Ensure protection of company assets, cash, equipment, and inventory.
- Implement measures to prevent theft, vandalism, and unauthorized access.
- Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure compliance with company policies, statutory regulations, and security standards.
- Maintain security registers, visitor logs, gate passes, and shift reports.
- Submit daily, weekly, and monthly security reports to management.
- Vendor & Contractor Management
- Monitor security services provided by external agencies.
- Verify contractor and vendor compliance with security requirements.
Preferred Requirements:
- Ex-Serviceman from Army, Navy, Air Force, or Retired Police Officer (Inspector/Sub-Inspector and above preferred).
- Strong leadership, investigation, and crisis management skills.
- Experience in handling large teams and managing security operations.
- Knowledge of CCTV surveillance, access control systems, and emergency response procedures.
- Good communication and report-writing skills.
Reporting To: General Manager / Unit Head / Corporate Administration Head.
Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
