Job Description:
Manager / Deputy Manager — Production Planning & Control (PPC) — Premium Weaving
Role summary:
Lead production planning and control for premium Dhoti, Jari-border and Shirting fabrics on high-speed Dobby and Jacquard looms. Combine production scheduling, yarn and warp planning, loom optimization, and quality control to meet customer commitments and improve OEE.
Key responsibilities:
- Plan and schedule production on Airjet/Rapier Dobby and Jacquard looms.
- Ensure availability of fine cotton and Jari yarns, warp beams, sizing/warping resources.
- Maximize loom efficiency, minimize changeover losses, and reduce idle time.
- Coordinate with Design, Sales, Purchase, Stores, Warping, Sizing, and Production.
- Monitor production performance, quality deviations, material utilization, and delivery (OTIF).
Technical skills:
- Production & capacity planning, order sequencing, OTIF management.
- Weaving knowledge: Dobby/Jacquard, Dhoti borders, shirting structures, reed/denting/gaiting/knotting.
- Yarn & fabric calculations: consumption, yarn counts, cover factor, GSM, Jari usage.
- Systems & analytics: ERP (SAP or similar), advanced Excel, forecasting, MIS.
Success metrics:
- Improved loom efficiency/OEE, optimized sequencing, timely warp beam availability, balanced customer delivery vs capacity.
- Loom capacity & scheduling, warp/Jari calculations, Dobby vs Jacquard allocation, Air jet vs Rapier planning, defect root-cause analysis, ERP-based planning.
Experience:
- 10 -15 years in weaving PPC with premium cotton/traditional wear, exposure to Tsudakoma/Itima/Picanol/Toyota looms and electronic Dobby/Jacquard systems. Strong analytical and cross-functional leadership skills.
Pay: ₹60,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
