Assistant Librarian – Nursing College
We are looking for a dedicated and organized Assistant Librarian to support the day-to-day operations of the college library and assist students and faculty in accessing academic and research resources.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the day-to-day management and functioning of the college library.
- Issue, return, and renew books and other library resources.
- Maintain accurate records of books, journals, periodicals, and other library materials.
- Assist students and faculty in locating books, reference materials, and academic resources.
- Maintain proper shelving, classification, and arrangement of library resources.
- Support the cataloguing and accessioning of new books and materials.
- Maintain library databases and records using library management software.
- Monitor overdue books and follow up on pending returns.
- Assist in maintaining a quiet, clean, and student-friendly library environment.
- Support students and faculty with basic digital and online library resources.
- Assist with stock verification, inventory management, and periodic library audits.
- Coordinate with the Librarian and administration for procurement of new books, journals, and other resources.
- Perform other library-related duties assigned by the Librarian or management.
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree in Library Science / Bachelor of Library and Information Science (BLIS) or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
- Candidates with relevant experience in a college or educational institution library will be preferred.
Required Skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer knowledge and proficiency in MS Office.
- Familiarity with library management software is an advantage.
- Good organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Ability to interact professionally with students, faculty, and staff.
- Willingness to learn and work as part of a team.
Experience
- 0–2 years of experience in a library or educational institution is preferred.
- Freshers with the required qualification may also apply.

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
